Flip Johnson
I have lived in Coldwater since grade school.
In recent years I have noticed that there are many without proper housing. I have been a Genesis Outreach board member since shortly after its founding. The role of Genesis in Coldwater has been profound for men who want to return to a better life through counseling and guidance.
April Summey
Hi, I’m April Summey. For over 20 years, I’ve worked as an office administrator in the agricultural millwright industry. I’m married with three wonderful children, and I love escaping to warmer climates whenever I can. Outside of work, my heart is dedicated to helping those who can’t speak for themselves. I’m deeply involved with animal advocacy—volunteering with shelters and rescues, fostering, assisting with adoptions and transports, and providing care to animals in need. I’m equally passionate about supporting our city’s homeless population, serving on the Genesis Outreach board to make a real difference in people’s lives. Helping others reach their next step, whether human or animal, is what drives me every day.
Rick Jacoby
Originally from the Metro Detroit area, Rick is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a background in the human services field. Rick moved to Branch County when he was offered a position with the Department of Health and Human Services in 2013. Rick has worked as an Adult Services Specialist for the past 8 years, often having the opportunity to interact with and serve the most vulnerable of our community and those who have pledged to help. Rick has seen first-hand the tremendous impact that Genesis Outreach Ministries has had on the most vulnerable of our community and is grateful to help serve on the board, helping to guide the ministry in its mission to provide shelter and services to those in need, impacting the community one life at a time.
Robin Perry Brabon
I joined the Genesis Outreach Board in 2020 and have been a member of Genesis Outreach Ministries for the past five years, serving in various roles and helping wherever needed to support the success of this worthwhile organization. I am retired from Union City Schools, where I served as a head cook. My professional background also includes serving in the U.S. Navy during the late 1970s and early 1980s, as well as eight years as Treasurer of Matteson Township. In between these roles, I owned and operated several businesses, including PM Video, Pastries Plus, and Brush and Roller Painting, while also working part-time in other positions. Today, I am enjoying retirement by traveling and making quilts for nonprofit organizations, as well as for family, friends, and for sale.
